Introduction of work license obtaining process and distributing appreciation letters to cooperating employers partner with EESC

The Introduction session of work license obtaining process and distributing appreciation letters to cooperating employers partner with OSAA Employment and Entrepreneurship Services Center was held in EESC in coordination with Department of Labor and Social Affairs of Herat and cooperation with Help INGO.

Mr. Abdul Sattar Zarifi, Directorate of Labor of DoLSA, Mr. Mohammad Ali Soroosh, Help Program Manager of Help INGO, Mrs. Elaha Banaey, OSAA Director, Mr. Sebqatollah Habibi, License Officer of Herat Municipality, Head of companies and employers cooperating with EESC attended the session.

The session started with an introduction of EESC by Mr. Rahmaniyar, EESC manager. He talked over EESC activities such as, job facilitation for vocational training center beneficiaries, job facilitation for public job seekers and networking with employers. Moreover, he talked over OSAA’s new project “Employment Facilitation for Most Vulnerable Children including children on the move and emergency affected children”, the role of EESC on employment and internship facilitation for them and the need for further cooperation of employers with EESC.

After that, Mr. Sebghatolla Habibi, license officer in Herat Municipality, started his presentation on the role of municipality in market and business activities. He gave information about the business license, how to obtain a license as an employer or businessman and the benefits of a license for employers using documents and samples of forms.

Then, the employers asked some questions such as; the need for a business license if they work at home or for mobile business and the relationship and role of craftsmen union and the municipality regarding the business licenses in the labor market of Herat and Mr. Sabghatullah Habibi responded fully and clearly.

Then, Mr. Abdul Sattar Zarifi, Directorate of Labor of DoLSA, talked over cooperation among DoLSA and OSAA and thanked OSAA EESC for its cooperation with Labor Directorate of DoLSA in particular Human Resource Unit of DoLSA. He continued, his speech with describing the process of work permits of employees in private sector from DoLSA and declared his cooperation regarding that.

Later on, Mr. Mohammad Ali Soroosh, Program Manager of Help INGO thanked DoLSA, OSAA and the representative of Municipality on holding this training session and thanked employers for participating in the training session.

At the end, Mrs. Elaha Banaey thanked DoLSA for their coordination and cooperation with OSAA’s EESC, the Herat municipality for supporting this training session and the employers for facilitation of internship for the last round beneficiaries of EESC, providing comments on updating training materials of the vocations according to market needs and participating in this round of trainings. She also asked for continuous cooperation of the employers cooperating with EESC for facilitation of employment and reintegration of most vulnerable children including street working children. At the end of the program, the certificates that were prepared for the employers were presented to them.
