Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan /OSAA
Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan-OSAA is a women-led, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-partisan development and humanitarian-oriented local organization that was established and registered in Herat, Afghanistan, in 2015 with registration number 3728, aiming to foster the economic and social development of Afghanistan, in particular women. OSAA devotes a high level of commitment to a sustainable approach to development.
As a women-led organization, during the 9 years of OSAA’s provision of support to Afghan women, youths, children, and vulnerable categories, it has been able to achieve the target goals and successfully implement more than 18 projects in the western region of Afghanistan.
During the years 2015–2024, OSAA’s team did their best to provide social, educational, and employment services for their project beneficiaries and to serve the community and people with emergency needs, and it is committed to providing sustainable services throughout Afghanistan.
Since December 2021, OSAA has been an official member of ACBAR and has been successful through the due diligence of the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF) from UN-OCHA. Moreover, OSAA is an active member of the FSAC cluster as well as the CPAN (Child Protection Network). OSAA is also a member of the GiHA working group.
Goal:
To design and implement programs aiming to promote socio-economic and cultural development in Afghanistan.
Mission:
To deliver sustainable development aid (in particular for women) in Afghanistan through sustainable-focused approaches.
Vision:
To be an organization that best understands sustainability and leads the model for sustainable aid in Afghanistan.

Our Main Goals
- Socio-Economic development of the society
- Development of civil and social activities;
- Development of education, especially for women and children;
- Plan and implement capacity building programs;
- Design and implement TVET programs particularly for women;
- Implement cultural, artistic and social programs;
- Promote women’s and children’s rights;
- Provide legal trainings in order to establish and institutionalize rule of law;
OSAA Structure:
- General Assembly, the supreme body of OSAA that holds meetings at least 2 times a year.
- Board of Directors: includes seven members that each is elected for a term of 2 years.
