On Friday, May 2, 2024, Ms. Tallnderz Dastrbaay, the Country Director of World Vision, and Ms. Helnor Manpiot, the Regional manager of the World Vision INGO, visited the Ansari Vocational Training Center.
The visit began with a warm welcome by Ms. Fareshta Yaqoubi, the Director of the OSAA organization. Ms. Yaqoubi highlighted that OSAA has been actively engaged in empowering and supporting women’s leadership in Herat province since 2015. She provided a detailed overview of the organization’s activities, achievements, and challenges faced over the past years, expressing gratitude for the support and previous collaborations of the respected World Vision office.
In response, the World Vision Country representative appreciated the efforts and work of all the OSAA team members. She emphasized the organization’s commitment to creating more employment opportunities in various fields in collaboration with OSAA. Stressing the importance of expanding relations and coordination, she emphasized the need to take firm steps toward achieving shared goals.
During the visit, various topics were discussed and exchanged. Afterward, Ms. Yaqoubi accompanied the guests on a tour of all the departments of the Ansari Vocational Training Center. Ms. Tallnderz Dastrbaay also engaged in conversations with several graduated trainees (both men and women) of the center, discussing their achievements, the secrets of their success, the implemented programs, as well as the challenges and work-related issues faced by the trainees.
Ms. Tallnderz Dastrbaay conveyed the message that the bright future of families belongs to those who have completed this training program, and each of them should be a strong bridge for the economic prosperity of their underprivileged families so that the lock of problems can be unlocked by the key of their efforts and hard work in the future.
At the end of the visit, the OSAA leadership expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support and cooperation of the respected World Vision office and sought further collaboration in this field of work.
On September 19, 2023, Ansari VTC hosted the second round’s graduation ceremony for the TVET project.
