Annual Market Study and TVET Successful Cases

Annual Market Studies:
Organization for Sustainable Aid in Afghanistan (OSAA), Herat Department of Labor and Social Affairs (DoLSA) and Help German Organization, in cooperation with economics experts, have annually been conducting market studies about the status of vocations in Herat labor market since 2015. The studies were conducted in order to identify and prioritize training for those vocations that enjoy market demand. These market studies are conducted both at city and districts levels. We believe that the findings of these studies will serve as a reliable source orienting Technical and Vocational Education and Training programs offered by national and international organizations functioning in the field of TVET and Employment. On the other hand, these studies and the application of their findings will institutionalize the culture of research and implementation of programs based on objective findings.
Successful cases from Technical and Vocational Education and Training Program of OSAA NGO and Help INGO:
Based on the project’s contract, Help and OSAA are mandated to facilitate employment services to all TVET beneficiaries. Tracer-studies show that – on average – the rate of employment is 75% for different vocations.
According to the tracer-studies conducted by OSAA’s Employment and Entrepreneurship Services Center, following graduates are identified as the most successful cases. They have been able to establish their small businesses successfully. Increase in income, enthusiasm, stability & sustainability in business were the criteria for identification as the most successful cases.

Message from the OSAA Managing Director:
Dear all,
I’m pleased to greet you on the eighth anniversary of the OSAA organization!
First of all, I would like to thank those who established OSAA with the same thoughts and great goals.
We are grateful to our donors, project stakeholders, board members, employees, and beneficiaries, and I congratulate OSAA on its success during these eight years.
After August 16, 2021, OSAA worked harder than ever to serve the community and people with emergency needs, and it is committed to providing sustainable services throughout Afghanistan. OSAA is proud of the successful implementation of humanitarian projects to support the most vulnerable categories of communities in the remote areas of western Afghanistan.
We know that without effort, honesty, commitment, and ability, we will never reach social welfare, so we try to reach our goals to serve society.
But our wishes and future programs will not be possible without the support of partner organizations, donors, and our beloved people. I hope that by 2030, OSAA will have a public reputation and will have a specific address for serving, assisting, advocating, building capacity, and improving the capacity of thousands of Afghan men and women.
I welcome you to our website and thank you all for taking the time to support our humanitarian work.
